Elysse Schmidt PT, DPT, CLC
I began my career as a doctor of physical therapy in the Vail Valley, treating patients of all ages with all types of needs in musculoskeletal and neurological realms. I always strived to be a clinician that could make a difference for any person that walked in the clinic doors. After having my first child, I struggled mentally and physically with breastfeeding, and couldn't quite find the support I yearned for in the valley. I decided to take things into my own hands by studying lactation, and earning my certification in lactation counseling.
Now I hope to be that support that babies and families can depend on.

My background in physical therapy allows me to treat mom and baby with the knowledge of anatomy, physiology, psychology, body movement and human development. I take all this into consideration when developing a treatment plan for lactation and feeding.

I know firsthand that feeding babies doesn't always come easy, and I'm here to support families in meeting their goals - whether you want to exclusively breastfeed, pump, or combo feed with formula. I promise to step into your home without judgement.
